Tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) associated factors (TRAFs) are a family of signaling adaptors first identified as components of TNFR signaling complexes, but now recognized to regulate signal transduction downstream of a diverse array of receptors, including Toll like receptors, antigen receptors and cytokine receptors. TRAF proteins play important roles in many human diseases and processes as both positive and negative regulators. This eBook begins with a review of TRAF structure, followed by reviews on the role of TRAFs in NF-kB and mitogen activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling as well as in signaling downstream of innate pattern recognition receptors. Next is a review focused on...
B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is considered a single disease with extremely variable course, and survival rates ranging from months to decades. It is clear that clinical heterogeneity reflects biologic diversity with at least two major subtypes in terms of cellular proliferation, clinical aggressiveness and prognosis. As CLL progresses, abnormal hematopoiesis results in pancitopenia and decreased immunoglobulin production, followed by nonspecific symptoms such as fatigue or malaise. A cure is usually not possible, and delayed treatment (until symptoms develop) is aimed at lengthening life and decreasing symptoms. Researchers are playing a lead role in investigating CLL's cause and the role of genetics in the pathogenesis of this disorder. Research programs are dedicated towards understanding the basic mechanisms underlying CLL with the hope of improving treatment options.

Biographical material on maternal ancestors of the author and their contemporaries with hisorical background of the times back to the conquest of Mexico by Cortez. The authors ancestor's were among the founders of Monterrey, Saltillo, and other areas. Duaine's mother was the daughter of Juan Rios and Macadonia Ramirez of Mier, Mexico.
Here is an authoritative reference work that makes biographies of prominent Mexican national politicians from the period 1884–1934 available in English. Like the author's biographical directory for the years 1935–2009, it draws on many years of research in Mexico and the United States and seeks not only to provide accurate biographical information about each entry but also, where possible and appropriate, to connect these politicians to more recent leadership generations. Thus, Mexican Political Biographies, 1884-1934 not only is a useful historical source but also provides additional information on the family backgrounds of many contemporary figures. The work includes those figures who ...

Mexico Investment and Business Guide - Strategic and Practical Information
This book is the only literature that is entirely devoted to TNF Receptor Associated Factors (TRAFs). Almost every aspect of TRAF signaling is covered. The book is intended for a wide audience, including researchers in the field of TRAF signaling and students and postdoctoral fellows learning cell biology and cell signal transduction. This exciting new volume is up-to-date on the most recent advances in TRAF signal transduction.
