Este texto ilustra de una manera clara y concisa a estudiantes y profesionales de Tecnología en Saneamiento Ambiental, así como de otros campos ligados con el saneamiento básico, sobre los principios de la purificación del agua.El libro está dividido en nueve capítulos: el primero presenta los conceptos básicos para incursionar en el tema (el ciclo hidrológico, las características físicas, químicas y microbiológicas del agua, y la normatividad asociada); el segundo hace una breve introducción al desarrollo del proceso de potabilización del agua; y los capítulos siguientes (ensayo de jarras, aireación, coagulación, floculación, sedimentación, filtración y desinfección) tratan cada uno de estos componentes con la profundidad y rigurosidad necesarias, pero de forma sencilla, sin abandonar el procesamiento físico-matemático requerido.

GEM Spain 2022-2023 Report. Entrepreneurship Observatory of Spain
Every year the GEM Spain team prepares a report on entrepreneurial activity in the country. After 23 years, it would seem unnecessary to explain why this report has become a fundamental tool for understanding the entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem in our country. Or to have to explain why it is a vital reference for researchers, policy makers, entrepreneurs or anyone interested in business development. It is also well known that the GEM Spain Report analyses with scientific rigour the entrepreneurial phenomenon, activity, characteristics and context. It would be redundant to emphasise that its importance lies in the information it provides annually, giving a complete, detailed and up-to-date vision for designing effective policies and strategies to support and promote entrepreneurship in the country. However, it is important to remember how it is done year after year. In our country, the GEM report is developed in the Spanish Entrepreneurship Observatory through a network of 27 regional teams representing the entire Spanish territory, without whose effort and commitment all this would be impossible.

Focus on Lung Cancer Research
Lung cancer is the most common form of cancer in the world and a major cause of death. This new book brings together stellar research from around the world. The two main types of primary lung cancer small cell and non-small cell are examined. The book's scope encompasses the three main types of non-small cell lung cancer: squamous cell carcinoma which is the commonest type of lung cancer and develops in the cells which line the airways; adenocarcinoma develops from the cells which produce mucus in the lining of the airways; large cell carcinoma gets its name from the large, rounded cells that are seen when they are examined under the microscope. About 1 in 5 lung cancers are small cell, the rest non-small cell. Causes of lung cancer are primarily smoking, but include as well exposure to radon, asbestos, uranium, arsenic, and certain petroleum products.
