El presente libro es resultado de una investigación que expone las consideraciones técnicas y científicas para el diseño de un nuevo reactor aeróbico modificado a flujo pistón y un sedimentador de flujo helicoidal para la remoción de contaminantes presentes en las aguas residuales. El reactor biológico aeróbico y el sedimentador antes mencionados fueron evaluados y operados en planta piloto, y de esta manera se obtuvieron resultados favorables para la descontaminación del agua.
