Das Reich der Pendragon
In einer Gewitternacht schlägt ein Blitz in den Wohnbaum der Bäumlinge Erik und Orin ein und zerstört so ihre gewohntes Leben, was sie dazu zwingt quer durch Evren in den Westen zu reisen. Dabei finden sie Stück für Stück heraus, dass die Zerstörung ihres Baumes der Beginn einer großen Bedrohung für ganz Evren ist. Am anderen Ende Evrens stellt sich die Welt des Jungen Mario auf den Kopf, als sich ihm ein geheimnisvoller Baumschatten auf der Meeresoberfläche offenbart. Als sich die Wege der Figuren kreuzen, erkennen sie, dass sie Evren nur gemeinsam retten können.
Jede Menge Zaster
In Berlin finden nacheinander Banküberfälle statt. Das LKA ist davon überzeugt, dass es sich jeweils um dieselben Täter handelt. Als es die ersten Toten gibt, fragt sich Hauptkommissarin Valerie Voss, ob die Räuber nur die Nerven verloren haben oder mehr dahinter steckt. Als sie wegen allzu forschen Vorgehens vom Fall abgezogen wird, gibt sie dennoch nicht auf. Zeitgleich wird in einer Villa in Grunewald eine ältere Dame erschlagen und beraubt. Befindet sich der Täter unter den Kindern oder Enkeln der hartherzigen Frau? Wieder einmal bekämpft das LKA Geldgier und Skrupellosigkeit. Zwei Erscheinungen, die typisch für die heutige Zeit sind.
