Ne olacak bu Japonya'nın hali? Türkiye’de dergiciliğin selameti, birbirine mektup yazabilecek konumdaki insanlar tarafından belirleniyor hâlâ. Dolayısıyla her dergi, sahibini arayan bir mektup mesabesinde. Şiirden doğan hükmünü tek tek okuyucusunda yürürlüğe sokan, dünyanın ve siyasetin sığlığına karşı bir hayat aralığı açan, uzun ama soluk alıp veren mektuplar gibi düşünülmelidir bir dergi ve bir derde deva olmak için değil, o derdi ortaklaşa sürdürebilmek için çıkarılırsa kayda değerdir. Biz her dergiyi kimi zaman satır satır okunmuş kimi zaman daha kötü günler için saklanmış birer mektup olarak görüyoruz. Japonya’nın esbab-ı mucibesi biraz da budur.

Abstract: "Local government size varies dramatically around the world. In Sudan, Cote d'Ivoire, and the United Kingdom, municipalities average more than 125,000 people. Those in many European countries have less than 10,000 people.
