Geistliche Frauen des 20. Jahrhunderts
Das 20. Jahrhundert wurde auch von Frauen geprägt, die sich in ihrem Denken und Tun wesentlich von ihrer christlichen Spiritualität leiten ließen. In neunzehn Beiträgen legen Autorinnen und Autoren die Biographien verschiedener geistlicher Frauen vor. Einige Frauen sind eher unbekannt und verdienen es, neu ins Bewusstsein geholt zu werden. Daneben gibt es auch Wiederentdeckungen bekannter Frauenpersönlichkeiten, die unter dem Aspekt ihrer christlichen Spiritualität erneut vor Augen gestellt werden. Die Reihe der geistlichen Frauen setzt mit der 1875 geborenen Fürstin Fanny Starhemberg ein und schließt mit der 1971 geborenen sel. Chiara Badano. Wie die gesammelten Biographien der Frauen eindrucksvoll zeigen, war die innere Triebfeder ihres Lebens und Wirkens immer ihre persönliche Gottesbeziehung gewesen.
