Entre os dias 20 e 23 de julho de 2016 foi realizado na Universidade Estadual de Matogrosso do Sul o evento nacional Recursos Áudio Visuais na Cena Contemporânea com o apoio da FUNDECT e este são os anais desse congresso que discutiu o cenário, o figurino, a maquiagem, a iluminação e a sonoplastia nas artes cênicas em Campo Grande.
Comprehensive Organic Chemistry Experiments for the Laboratory Classroom
This expansive and practical textbook contains organic chemistry experiments for teaching in the laboratory at the undergraduate level covering a range of functional group transformations and key organic reactions.The editorial team have collected contributions from around the world and standardized them for publication. Each experiment will explore a modern chemistry scenario, such as: sustainable chemistry; application in the pharmaceutical industry; catalysis and material sciences, to name a few. All the experiments will be complemented with a set of questions to challenge the students and a section for the instructors, concerning the results obtained and advice on getting the best outcome from the experiment. A section covering practical aspects with tips and advice for the instructors, together with the results obtained in the laboratory by students, has been compiled for each experiment. Targeted at professors and lecturers in chemistry, this useful text will provide up to date experiments putting the science into context for the students.
Festival De Uma Cia Só
O projeto: “Festival de Uma Cia Só” foi tema de pesquisa da tese de doutorado: “Festival de uma Cia Só – A Dramaturgia do Ator em Improvisações Inspiradas na Commedia dell’Arte” do Programa de Pós-graduação em Artes Cênicas – PPGAC-UFBA; foi selecionado no edital de montagem Manoel Lopes Pontes 2010, da Fundação Cultural do Estado da Bahia (FUNCEB), órgão vinculado à Secretaria de Cultura do Estado da Bahia, e foi realizado entre os meses de janeiro a abril de 2012. Esse projeto consistiu na criação de uma série de espetáculos improvisados por um único grupo de atores. Os espetáculos foram criados a partir de Canovacci do século XVII da Commedia dell’Arte, adaptados para sete atores e improvisados perante o público. Fizemos um treinamento teatral de 15 dias com os atores. Em seguida, durante 12 semanas consecutivas, ensaiávamos por dois ou, no máximo, três dias (duas ou três horas diárias) e, nos dois dias seguintes, apresentávamos o espetáculo. Os roteiros não correspondem às expectativas com as quais costuma-se encarar textos dramáticos. Não encontraremos nesses roteiros da Commedia dell’Arte as falas das personagens...

Architecture and the Senses in the Italian Renaissance
This is the first study of Renaissance architecture as an immersive, multisensory experience that combines historical analysis with the evidence of first-hand accounts. Questioning the universalizing claims of contemporary architectural phenomenologists, David Karmon emphasizes the infinite variety of meanings produced through human interactions with the built environment. His book draws upon the close study of literary and visual sources to prove that early modern audiences paid sustained attention to the multisensory experience of the buildings and cities in which they lived. Through reconstructing the Renaissance understanding of the senses, we can better gauge how constant interaction with the built environment shaped daily practices and contributed to new forms of understanding. Architecture and the Senses in the Italian Renaissance offers a stimulating new approach to the study of Renaissance architecture and urbanism as a kind of 'experiential trigger' that shaped ways of both thinking and being in the world.

New and Old Routes of Portuguese Emigration
This open access book offers a comparative overview on Portuguese emigration in Europe and outside the EU in times of recession. It looks at Portuguese emigrants who, after the crisis of 2008, moved both intra-EU, such as UK, France, Switzerland, Germany and Spain, but also into countries with historical links, such as the USA and Canada, and to Portuguese speaking countries such as Brazil, Angola and Mozambique, as well as the processes of return. In addition to the dynamics of movement, the book provides an in-depth analysis of the heterogeneity of this emigration. It deepens the multifaceted identities concerning social and professional pathways among highly skilled and less skilled emigrants. The labour market continues to be the main regulatory force of Portuguese emigration, which helps to explain the outflow and the processes of settlement and return. Nonetheless, this book demonstrates that non-economic factors have likewise been of great importance in the decision to emigrate. As such this book will be a valuable read to policy makers, students and scholars in migration.

Accelerated Partial Breast Irradiation
Accelerated partial breast irradiation (APBI) is being rapidly introduced into the clinical management of early breast cancer. APBI, in fact, encompasses a number of different techniques and approaches that include brachytherapy, intraoperative, and external beam techniques. There is currently no single source that describes these techniques and their clinical implementation. This text is a concise handbook designed to assist the clinician in the implementation of APBI.
