Two Pierce Families
John Pers was born about 1588 and lived for a time in Norwich in Norfolk County, England. He came to America about 8 June 1637 and lived in Watertown, Middlesex County, Massachusetts where he died 19 August 1661.

They later moved to Aaronsburg, Centre County, Pennsylvania, and then to Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio and elsewhere. Paternal and maternal ancestry lived in Switzerland, Germany and elsewhere.

Hugh Johnston (1801-1847), of Scottish lineage, immigrated from Ireland to Mc Veytown, Pennsylvania, where he married Jane L. Morrison on 17 June 1831." ...
