Martin Hauser was born in 1696 in Mumplegard, Switzerland (later known as Montebeliard, France) and died 12 June 1761 at Bethania, North Carolina. His wife, Margaretha Schaeffer Hauser, was born 4 November 1702 in Alsace. She died 12 January 1775 also at Bethania. "They came to America about 1726 or 1730"--Page 76.
