Spending part of his free time of over twenty-five years, in search of further certificates and historical documents on his own Dynasty in historical archives, historical libraries, parishes and municipalities, unifying and spreading part of the considerable amount of collected notes, the author has drawn up this work whose purpose is to be a historical compendium of the birth and worldwide evolution of the noble and ancient Busi Dynasty.Far from being complete, it also aims at being a spur for younger generations in order not to forget that their future is possible thanks to their past.

Fra Quattro e Cinquecento, quando Torino si affermò come nuova capitale del ducato di Savoia, il complesso di famiglie che l’aveva amministrata per oltre due secoli – il vero e proprio corpo della città – si sgretolò nell’arco di pochi decenni, segnando un radicale cambiamento nella politica e nella società cittadina. La necessità di conservare il patrimonio unito per garantire continuità al ruolo politico della discendenza spinse molte famiglie ad adottare rischiose strategie di successione, privilegiando l’erede unico, l’indivisione dei beni e la coabitazione dei fratelli. Il prezzo fu l’indebolimento delle parentele e la rapida scomparsa di un’intera società politica, vittima della sua stessa strategia di sopravvivenza.
