Die autographen Kataloge Peutingers. Der juristische Bibliotheksteil
Der Augsburger Stadtschreiber und Humanist Konrad Peutinger (1465-1547) besaß die wohl umfangreichste und inhaltlich am breitesten gefächerte Gelehrtenbibliothek seiner Zeit nördlich der Alpen. Die zeitliche Spannbreite der rund 6.000 Druckwerke reicht von den Anfängen des Buchdrucks bis zu Peutingers Tod. Hinzu kommen etwa 200 Handschriften mit einer Fülle von Texten aus fast allen Wissensgebieten. Obwohl die Bibliothek seit dem 18. Jahrhundert nicht mehr als geschlossene Sammlung existiert, lassen sich noch rund 40 Prozent des ursprünglichen Bestands nachweisen. Die Typologie der Flexibilität im Hochbau
Das Kompetenzzentrum Typologie & Planung in Architektur (CCTP) der Hochschule Luzern hat sich im Forschungsprojekt „Die Typologie der Flexibilität im Hochbau“ zur Aufgabe gesetzt, die komplexe Thematik der Flexibilität im Hochbau für Planer und Nutzer übersichtlich darzustellen. Was bedeutet Flexibilität, welche Formen der Flexibilität gibt es, wie lässt sie sich bewerkstelligen, durch welche Faktoren wird sie bestimmt? Die Arbeit geht diesen – und weiteren – Fragestellungen nach und entwickelt daraus ein praxistaugliches System, mit dem der Flexibilitätsgrad von Gebäuden ermittelt werden kann.
Mario Campi
After graduating from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich), Mario Campi opened his own architecture office in Lugano in 1962. From 1977 to 1984, he was heavily involved with teaching activities at several American universities including Cornell and Harvard, then after returning to Z rich he became Professor for Architecture at the ETH Zurich in 1985. Campi's buildings are stark in form and elegantly composed, characterised by their concentration on the structural essentials, devoid of superfluity. Although his buildings are functional and very much of today, they also evoke a sense of serenity reminiscent of classical architecture. In this respect Campi is one of the major exponents of Italian rationalism. This monograph presents Campi's recent buildings and projects, highlighting his analytical approach. The projects featured include residential buildings in Lugano and the recently completed buildings for the chemistry faculty at the ETH Zurich.
