Collectio Mineralium
This work is the critical edition of the catalog of Holy Roman Emperor Leopold’s II mineralogical collection. The volume, unpublished and preserved at the Historical Archives of the University of Firenze Museum System, dates to 1765 and describes 242 mineralogical specimens coming primarily from the current Slovak-Hungarian mining district. This edition gives the transcription of the German manuscript and its translation into English together with an organized system of notation to illustrate the complex history of the text, the characterization of the mineralogical species, and the geographical location of the mineral extraction sites. This work represents to date the only published catalog of a mineralogical collection belonging to a member of the Habsburg-Lorraine family.

Jacint Verdaguer fou un gran coneixedor de les plantes, i la seva obra, plena de referències al món vegetal, així ho evidencia. Gran excursionista i viatger, en les seves passejades i en les travesses pel Pirineu gaudia de la bellesa de l’entorn i de la diversitat de les flors, les herbes i els arbres, del seu simbolisme, de la sonoritat dels noms amb què s’anomenen i, en especial, l’arrelament que tenen en la cultura popular. A partir de la lectura de l’obra completa del poeta de Folgueroles, M. Carme Barceló ha inventariat un catàleg de 437 fitònims populars corresponents a 307 espècies de plantes que inclou, en cada cas, una fotografia, la fitxa botànica i un o més textos verdaguerians. Aquesta diversitat florística palesa la vasta cultura botànica de Verdaguer i és una prova més del rigor i la devoció amb què va contemplar, admirar i descriure el nostre paisatge.
Dono Imperiale
Il volume presenta il progetto di recupero, catalogazione e valorizzazione della collezione donata dall’Imperatore del Sacro Romano Impero Giuseppe II (1741-1790) al Gabinetto Mineralogico del Collegio Nazareno di Roma nel 1785. Quest’ultima rappresenta, ad oggi, l’unica collezione di ambito geo-mineralogico ascrivibile con certezza a Giuseppe II. Le schede dei campioni, redatte in base alle normative nazionali ICCD per la catalogazione dei beni mineralogici (BNM) e petrologici (BNPE), sono liberamente accessibili sul Catalogo Generale dei Beni Culturali. La collezione è visitabile, nel suo nuovo allestimento permanente, presso l’Istituto San Giuseppe Calasanzio di Roma. Questa pubblicazione è stata realizzata nell’ambito del progetto PANN20_00605 “Dono imperiale. La Collezione mineralogica dell’Imperatore Giuseppe II al Collegio Nazareno di Roma” finanziato dal Ministero dell’Università e della Ricerca, Contributi annuali - Legge 6/2000 – D.D. 1524 del 21/01/2019.
