Ziegenhain, eine Festungsstadt, deren bekanntester Teil die Wasserfestung ist. Durch die Garnison kamen viele Fremde in die Stadt, was dieses Trauregister besonders interessant macht Ziegenhain ist heute ein Teil von Schwalmstadt im Schwalm-Eder-Kreis. Ziegenhain liegt ca. 50 km Südsüdwestlich der nordhessischen Metropole Kassel.
