Sports Science Faculty, Universitas Negeri Semarang is the host of the 5th International Seminar on Physical Health and Education (ISPHE), which were held virtually on July 22nd, 2020 in Semarang (Indonesia), in collaboration with the Health Education National Networking (JNPK) Indonesia, the Indonesian Public Health Association (IAKMI) and some prominent Indonesia universities in health education and sport (Malang State University, Gorontalo State University, and Manado State University). This seminar brings together academic experts and practitioners from South East Asia and beyond to share new knowledge, ideas, and experiences pertaining to Health Education, Physical Activities, and Applied Technology for Health as well as those in related fields in order to accommodate more aspirations and expressions of sport’s and health communities.

The Visual Language of Comics
Drawings and sequential images are an integral part of human expression dating back at least as far as cave paintings, and in contemporary society appear most prominently in comics. Despite this fundamental part of human identity, little work has explored the comprehension and cognitive underpinnings of visual narratives-until now. This work presents a provocative theory: that drawings and sequential images are structured the same as language. Optimal Plant Layout Design for Process-focused Systems
In this paper we have proposed a semi-heuristic optimization algorithm for designing optimal plant layouts in process-focused manufacturing/service facilities. Our proposed algorithm marries the well-known CRAFT (Computerized Relative Allocation of Facilities Technique) with the Hungarian assignment algorithm.
The Effects of the Global Crisis on Islamic and Conventional Banks
This paper examines the performance of Islamic banks (IBs) and conventional banks (CBs) during the recent global crisis by looking at the impact of the crisis on profitability, credit and asset growth, and external ratings in a group of countries where the two types of banks have significant market share. Our analysis suggests that IBs have been affected differently than CBs. Factors related to IBs‘ business model helped limit the adverse impact on profitability in 2008, while weaknesses in risk management practices in some IBs led to a larger decline in profitability in 2009 compared to CBs. IBs‘ credit and asset growth performed better than did that of CBs in 2008-09, contributing to financial and economic stability. External rating agencies‘ re-assessment of IBs‘ risk was generally more favorable.

The Sphagnum Species of the World
Sphagnum specialist Dierk Michaelis documents the worldwide known peat moss species (genus Sphagnum) and presents keys for their identification. It represents the updated, supplemented English language version of the author's original peat moss flora of 2011 (in German), the first overall presentation of Sphagnum since Carl Warnstorf's "Sphagnologia Universalis" of 1911.
