"The exhibition 'Architektonika' at the Hamburger Bahnhof - Museum für Gegenwart - Berlin displayed sculptural works, paintings, photographs and films that relate to architecture in a variety of ways. The thematic presentation sought to illustrate how differently artists have approached the interface between art and architecture since the 1960s. Besides the design, they also reflect on the social implications of buildings and urban spaces. Liam Gillick - Filtered Time
The sculptor and object artist Liam Gillick (b. Aylesbury, UK, 1964; lives and works in New York) has created an intervention titled Filtered Time for the historic galleries of the Pergamon Museum in Berlin. Projections of light and color and acoustic effects condense six thousand years of cultural history into an immersive spatial experience. Gillick initiates a conversation between the iconic Processional Way and the Ishtar Gate from Babylon, the monumental sculptures of Tell Halaf, and other exhibits, engendering new layers of meaning across all historical periods. The first joint project of the Vorderasiatisches Museum and the Hamburger Bahnhof-- Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart makes for a singular visual and sensory experience. Designed by the artist himself, the publication not only documents the richly colorful production, but also provides insight into the eventful history of the museum, which is approaching its centennial.Liam Gillick studied at the Hertfordshire College of Art in 1983- 1984 and at Goldsmiths, University of London from 1984 until 1987. Gillick is a prolific published writer as well, producing essays, reviews, fiction, and theatrical scenarios.

Paul Laffoley - Secret Universe
Since the mid-1960s, Paul Laffoley has grappled with complex theories on philosophy, anthroposophy and natural science themes in his paintings and works on paper.He distils the wisdom from such varied thinkers as Richard Buckminster Fuller, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, William Blake and C.G. Jung, developing visionary theories about time travel, black holes and mathematical questions on the fourth and fifth dimensions. The Gift
The Gift captures the Singapore segment of the curatorial project Collecting Entanglements and Embodied Histories. Focusing on ideas of inter-relation and exchange manifest in history, geography and identity, this catalogue features the works of 15 artists in an examination of how the act of giving is performed, remembered and entangles. Collecting Entanglements and Embodied Histories is a dialogue between the collections of Galeri Nasional Indonesia, MAIIAM Contemporary Art Museum, Nationalgalerie – Staatliche Museen zu Berlin and Singapore Art Museum, initiated by the Goethe-Institut. The exhibitions are curated by Anna-Catharina Gebbers, Grace Samboh, Gridthiya Gaweewong and June Yap
Local Histories
"Things can only be diverse and should be diverse," wrote Donald Judd in 1964 about the art scene in New York, and hence rejected a one-dimensional ordering of art history in favour of an open encounter with works of art.In this sense, the works in this experimental collection presentation are also set in relation to one another along with their specific local context: situational 'snapshots' from the 1960s in New York and Düsseldorf, to the 1980s in Cologne, and up to the 1990s in Berlin and Los Angeles, which are deepened and thought further in the accompanying essays of this exhibition catalogue.Published alongside the exhibition at Nationalgalerie Bahnhof - Museum für Gegenwart, Berlin (15 December 2018 - 29 September 2019).
