This proceedings volume highlights the latest achievements in research and development in educational robotics, which were presented at the 8th International Conference on Robotics in Education (RiE 2017) in Sofia, Bulgaria, from April 26 to 28, 2017. The content will appeal to both researchers and educators interested in methodologies for teaching robotics that confront learners with science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) through the design, creation and programming of tangible artifacts, giving them the chance to create personally meaningful objects and address real-world societal needs. This also involves the introduction of technologies ranging from robotics controllers to virtual environments. In addition, the book presents evaluation results regarding the impact of robotics on students’ interests and competence development. The approaches discussed cover the whole educational range, from elementary school to the university level, in both formal as well as informal settings.
"The decision to marry was announced after two months of "dating." Zheng Jiajia, 31, a Chinese engineer from the city of Hangzhou carried his wife, Ying-Ying, to the wedding ceremony. She wore a black suit with a red scarf, as traditionally accustomed. With the appearance of a young, slender Chinese woman, Ying-Ying generated warmth and responded dexterously to speech and hugs. At home, Zheng had enabled her to walk and even to help with household chores. Surrounded by his mother and friends, Zheng married his robot wife on March 28, 2017. When asked what he thought was missing, Zheng emotionally replied: "A beating heart.""--

Abstract: This book contains concrete examples from history, economy, biology, digital world, nuclear physics, agriculture and so on about breaking a neutrosophic dynamic system (i.e. a dynamic system that has indeterminacy) from inside. We define a neutrosophic mathematical model using a system of ordinary differential equations and the neutrosophic probability in order to approximate the process of breaking from inside a neutrosophic complex dynamic system. It shows that for breaking from inside it is needed a smaller force than for breaking from outside the neutrosophic complex dynamic system. Methods that have been used in the past for breaking from inside are listed. Simulation and anim...
Data is a common ground, a starting point for each ICT system. Data needs processing, use of different technologies and state-of-the-art methods in order to obtain new knowledge, to develop new useful applications that not only ease, but also increase the quality of life. These applications use the exploration of Big Data, High throughput data, Data Warehouse, Data Mining, Bioinformatics, Robotics, with data coming from social media, sensors, scientific applications, surveillance, video and image archives, internet texts and documents, internet search indexing, medical records, business transactions, web logs, etc. Information and communication technologies have become the asset in everyday ...
