This is the follow up to Nina's first book - NINA ST TROPEZ. She whips up more charming recipes, more elegant desserts and more of her trademark chic French and English style. Nina Parker has a passion for puddings. After university, she joined the team at L'Anima, London as a commis chef and fell in love with their style of pastry and cooking using fresh Italian ingredients with a rustic touch. She has spent time in some fantastic kitchens: from preparing moelleux au chocolat at The Dorchester for Alain Ducasse, Tarte Tatain at Tom Aikens, fresh marshmallows at The Ledbury, to rolling out the croissant dough at 5am in The Senequier Bakery, St Tropez. Whilst working as chef for Bocca di Lupo's Gelupo in Soho, they won Time Out's "best gelateria". In 2012 she launched her own catering company NINA, dedicated to bringing a taste of her childhood to the heart of London and beyond.

‘They didn’t see the house until they were practically on top of it. A single building emerging from the dark. It didn’t look welcoming. But the front door was open. The door was wide open.’ Irongrove Lodge – a building with history; the very bricks and grounds imbued with the stories of those who have walked these corridors, lived in these rooms. These are the tales of an extraordinary house, a place that straddles our world and whatever lies beyond; a place that some are desperate to discover, and others to flee. At one time an asylum, at another a care home, sometimes simply a home. The residents of Irongrove Lodge will learn that this house will change them, that the stories told here never go away. Of all who enter, only some will leave. Multi-award-winning editor Jonathan Oliver has brought together five extraordinary writers to open the doors, revealing ghosts both past and present in a collection as intriguing as it is terrifying. Along with a linking narrative, this collection features five novellas by Nina Allan, Tade Thompson, K.J. Parker, Robert Shearman and Sarah Lotz.

Lydia knows she should be more serious. It's meant to be the end of trivia, but all she can think about when she watches the evening news is how the reporter on the front line manages to iron his shirt into such nice creases, and why Will doesn't move about a bit more when he sings. Lydia realises she should be happy. She's got her health, a job she loves, a terraced cottage, one down, two up, a nice, steady relationship, and a number of other things to be grateful for which her mother would certainly list if you were interested. It's not that Lydia covets a high-profile career like her beautiful sister Joanna, nor a house from the pages of Hello! (which, by the way, she only reads for resea...

There's no place like home, they say. "Hello, I'm Nina Parker…and I'm an alcoholic." For Nina, it's not the weighty admission but the first steps toward recovery that prove most difficult. She must face her ex-husband, Hunt, with little hope of making amends, and try to rebuild a relationship with her angry teenage daughter, Meagan. Hardest of all, she is forced to return to Abbey Hills, Missouri, the hometown she abruptly abandoned nearly two decades earlier–and her unexpected arrival in the sleepy Ozark town catches the attention of someone–or something–igniting a two-hundred-fifty-year-old desire that rages like a wildfire. Unaware of the darkness stalking her, Nina is confronted ...
