John/David Jones was born in about 1700 in Wales. He married Polly McCann in about 1720, probably in Virginia. They had four sons. He died in about 1780, probably in North Carolina. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in North Carolina, Kentucky, Missouri and Texas. Includes Carpenter, Douthit, Talbott and related families.
