The book maps the reflection of social and health threats of substance abuse in the population of the Czech Republic. The dependence of the perception of substance abuse on age, gender, and education is analyzed. The book also offers an analysis of the relationship of these threats to the value preferences of substance users, including the use of this value context in prevention and intervention in social work and social pedagogy. Attention is given to four key groups of addictive substances: alcohol, tobacco and tobacco products, drugs and medicines, and illicit drugs.
Monografie prezentuje výsledky mezioborového plošného výzkumného šetření, realizovaného v období před pandemií Covid-19 (sběr 2018-2019) a v období pandemie (sběr 2020-2021) a v období postpandemickém (sběr 2023). Jeho ambicí bylo analyzovat souvislosti mezi sociodemografickými charakteristikami, širokou škálou vnímaných sociálních a zdravotních ohrožení (sběr 2018-2019, 2020-2021), hodnotovými preferencemi (sběry 2020-2021, 2023) a volným časem (sběr 2020-2021, 2023) respondentů. Po teoretickém ukotvení studované problematiky jsou prezentovány výsledky sociodemografické analýzy postojů k abúzu návykových látek, výsledky analýzy originálních měření reflexe ohrožení návykovými látkami. Následuje analýza hodnotových kontextů návykových látek a analýza souvislostí abúzu návykových látek s volnočasovými aktivitami. Nakonec jsou prezentovány první výsledky sběru dat o abúzu nově populárních návykových látkách jako je kratom, nikotinové sáčky, konopné produkty CBD a HHC a energetické nápoje.
