Orville Elias Babcock Letters to Adam Badeau and James Harrison Wilson
Two autograph letters, signed, by Orville Elias Babcock, written in Washington, D.C., and dated August 17, 1871, and November 10, 1872, respectively. The 1871 letter, on White House stationery, refers to the purchase of property in the South. The 1872 letter to Badeau makes reference to Badeau's continued posting in London, contingent on the President's re-election, Babcock's infant son, and the President's activities.
