L'élection de la République
We try to highlight the prevalence and new electoral system established in the first three decades of the nineteenth century, to show that the election, one of the rituals of democracy, has been implemented since 1811 and evolving since, as indicated by processes such as secularization, the pacification of the elections, the introduction of political societies in the electoral competition, openness and acceptance of the political factions in the political issue. We seek to prove that the election was the essence of the republican system implemented by the publicists of the first republics. In fact, the study of elections shows that electoral systems are subject to particular historical moments that determine rituals, techniques and practices of the company, which does not necessarily follow a dynamic shift towards "the improvement."
