The Council of Heaven
As THE COUNCIL OF HEAVEN opens it is night, before the dawning of God's Judgment Day on Earth. Lucifer (representing sinful man), made human by God to give His once favorite Archangel a last chance to repent of his envious ambition to be God, confronts a band of seven artists and poets also restored to early mortality: Dante, Michelangelo, Goethe, Milton, Leonardo, Shakespeare, and Rembrandt. They are to tempt him into reciting and evoking some of their masterworks most persuasive for his conversion. Strengthening them against Lucifer's own temptations is St. Francis of Assisi, God-sent mentor and guide, who may usher them, if earned, into the presence of the Most Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Eye of My Mind
THE EYE OF MY MIND is a collection of 33 poems, chiefly in free verse, and some related prose, inspired by the author's self-assigned odyssey through the fascinating enigma that is Russia, during and since the reigns of the Tsars: her violent revolutionary history counter-balanced by her vital aesthetic legacy in literature and art. Kneeling Beside Dante
KNEELING BESIDE DANTE is a collection of 76 poems on diverse subjects: poetry and art, love and faith, nature and the world. Artists and poets the author admires are represented, as are her winged and four-footed animal friends. Her strong Catholic faith informs all of these poems, as does her love for God and the natural world He made. The title derives from the book's epigraph, from an article by Joseph Sobran in Catholic eye, about the joy generations of Catholics have known in claiming for their own the works of Michelangelo, Dante, and other masters, the great art that has emanated from the Faith through the ages.

VENUS RISING FROM THE SEA is a collection of 30 poems about the world's oceans and seas, many that the author has visited and reveled in on coastal shores of the southeastern United States. From countless pilgrimages to resorts and islands in her native Georgia to ports-of-call as far distant as Singapore on the Indian Ocean-on a once-in-a-lifetime around-the-world cruise with her Navy veteran husband in 1999, she has remained awed and enamored of "God's gathering together of the waters." The Middle of Life's Journey
THE MIDDLE OF LIFE¿S JOURNEY, or IL MEZZOGIORNO, is a romantic period novel set in 1890s Milledgeville, Georgia, capital of the Confederacy during the War Between the States,1860-1864. It recounts an unlikely love affair between a worldly Italian expatriate, Edward Dante, and a provincial Georgia girl, Dearborn Baldwin. The story opens with the protagonist Edward Dante, struggling with his compulsion to wreak vengeance upon Dearborn Baldwin and her family for what he considers their part in a tragedy involving his own family, in Italy, a generation ago. Edward tries to keep his inner allegiance to the Catholic Church from impacting his thirst for retribution and vice versa, while his quest for vengeance against the Baldwin family wars constantly in his breast with his growing love for Dearborn. It is Edward¿s contradiction or dichotomy of passions, which threatens to tear him and his love apart until almost too late.
