Em sua busca por fixar a ideia do bem como o aprendizado mais sublime a que se devia almejar, para quem se pusesse no caminho da filosofia, Platão evoca a transcendência, quando indica que aquela ideia fundamental, como fonte originante do ser e da essência, sem que ela mesma seja essência, repousa e exerce seu domínio para além da essência (ἐπέκεινα τῆς οὐσίας). É por isso que, como disse Hans-Georg Gadamer certa vez, "a ideia do bem é o ponto mais alto no pensamento platônico" ainda que "não seja apreensível como os outros objetos do ensino", pois "ela é ideia; ela é a perspectiva em tudo"....

The nature of 'fascism' has been hotly contested by scholars since the term was first coined by Mussolini in 1919. However, for the first time since Italian fascism appeared there is now a significant degree of consensus amongst scholars about how to approach the generic term, namely as a revolutionary form of ultra-nationalism. Seen from this perspective, all forms of fascism have three common features: anticonservatism, a myth of ethnic or national renewal and a conception of a nation in crisis. Os três principais nomes da poesia daquele período – Li Bai, Du Fu, Wang Wei – estão representados na obra, que também contempla traduções de escritores como Bai Juyi, Meng Haoran, Li Shangyin, Du Mu, Liu Yuxi, Cen Shen, Wen Tingyun e Li He. Entre as autoras, estão presentes aqui trabalhos assinados por Li Ye, Xue Tao, Yu Xuanji.

Given the important role that the Portuguese played in the Persian Gulf from 1507 to 1720, knowing what is available about their activities in this area is not only of importance to those interested in the history of Portugal, but also of those interested in the history of Bahrein, Iran, Iraq, Oman, Qatar, eastern Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. This bibliography of printed published works therefore contains a full list of primary and secondary sources, not only in Western languages, but also in Persian, Arabic and Turkish. It aims to facilitate the work of scholars and students, but also of the non-specialist, i.e. those among the general public who want to know more about this part of the world during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries and about the activities of the Portuguese. Although other bibliographies exist that include the activities of the Portuguese in the Persian Gulf, all are in need of updating, and none are as comprehensive as this bibliography.
