Big Science e a Natureza da Ciência
Este livro apresenta possibilidades para se incorporar alguns elementos dos estudos das ciências na compreensão das discussões em torno da natureza da ciência. No campo da educação em ciências, alguns pesquisadores têm optado por estabelecer uma lista com características sobre questões não-epistemológicas da ciência separando-as entre questões internas e externas à comunidade científica. Entendemos que embora esse quadro contribua para uma visualização da ciência enquanto atividade complexa, ele ainda assim colabora para instituir um dualismo típico do pensamento moderno. Portanto, a partir das contribuições dos estudos e pensamentos de Bruno Latour desenvolvemos reflexões propondo um exercício de pensamento a partir da escolha de duas compilações sobre o Projeto Genoma Humano (PGH). Ponderamos, ao final, sobre a possibilidade de sustentar o ensino sobre a natureza da ciência a partir de uma concepção que não faz distinção entre fatores internos e fatores externos à ciência. Ao final, apresentamos também um modelo de como podemos utilizar em sala de aula o que aqui é discutido.
