Religionen werden nicht selten als Räume der Unfreiheit und Nötigung erlebt. Entweder die Menschen fügen sich ein oder sie sind draußen - und damit diesseitigem und jenseitigem Unheil überlassen. Es gibt aber auch andere religiöse Traditionen. Darin ist Gott so groß und weit, dass allen Menschen unermessliche Liebe und Freiheit zugedacht wird. Auch die Bibel hat diese Anteile. Eine japanische Auto-Werbung nimmt seit Jahrzehnten Anleihe an der biblischen Formulierung: "Nichts ist unmöglich!" Ihr Ursprung ist zurückzuholen. Dass für Gott alles möglich sei, befördert die gerade auch im Christentum mögliche und nötige postkoloniale Transformation. Wo ein grenzenlos solidarischer "Gott" ins Spiel kommt, gewinnt unbegrenzt solidarisches Handeln eine wichtige spirituelle Ressource.
