Who is my neighbour?
Brian Seatter’s career as a Teacher spans over forty years, but he prefers to think of himself as a Learner whose greatest joy is to discover something new each day. He has been teaching in the Lukas- School in Munich for the past seven years, before which he taught in Dunedin, Tauranga and Rangiora in New Zealand, also serving as principal of schools in the latter two localities. He is also the proud father of six children and ten grandchildren who live in the Netherlands, Australia and New Zealand. Following the death of his wife Margaret from cancer, he moved to Germany and is now married to Angelika, a proud Bavarian. Together they have escorted several groups of German secondary students for educational trips to New Zealand.

This book reports on Simon Verduijn’s (1985) PhD research on a variety of individuals who try to leave their mark on the IJsselmeer area, the Netherlands. Europe's Living Landscapes
This book is the result of three symposia of the Dutch Society for Landscape Ecology. The first symposium in 2005 was about the National Ecological Network in the Netherlands . The reason was that the implementation of the NEN, decided upon in 1990, was halfway. The second symposium, in 2006, was about urban ecology and the third one, to be held in 2007, will be about civil infrastructure. Seed Fate
This book presents current knowledge of seed fate in both natural and human-disturbed landscapes, from various regions of the world. Habitats considered range from mountain and arid deserts in the temperate zone, to savanna and lowland rainforests in tropical regions of the world. Particular attention is paid to plant diversity conservation when seed removal is affected by factors such as hunting, habitat fragmentation or intensive logging.
