Este livro Pedagogia Ubuntuísta: formação inicial com afrodocência é resultado de pesquisa sobre a formação inicial docente no Brasil com objetivo de analisar os lugares de apropriação dos saberes ubuntu na formação inicial docente, considerando a Educação das Relações Étnico-Raciais (ERER). Para tanto, fundamentada na afrocentricidade e na decolonialidade, desenvolvemos a metodologia da Travessia do SER, construída a partir da metáfora da barca de Amen-em-ope, alinhada a sociopoética e os estudos com/do/no cotidiano. Problematizamos a epistemologia, as ciências e a formação docente hegemônica que vem sendo consubstanciada no Brasil, ao promovermos uma discussão acerca de saberes decoloniais e afrocentrados, a partir da filosofia africana do ubuntu. Queremos olhar e perceber o mundo com outros e múltiplos olhares que não sejam apenas a visão eurocêntrica, ocidental, branca, cristã, cis, masculina, que muitas vezes foi/é tida como referência única de ser/estar no mundo.

A obra Saberes de Professoras AfroUniversitárias da LIESAFRO: memórias de práticas educativas afrocentradas intersubjetivas é resultado de pesquisa sobre saberes afrocentrados com objetivo de compreender possibilidades de práticas educativas afrocentradas no Curso de Licenciatura Interdisciplinar em Estudos Africanos e Afro-Brasileiros (LIESAFRO) da UFMA, a partir dos saberes das professoras afrodescendentes que atuam no curso. Posicionadas dentro do campo epistemológico da subjetivação e da intersubjetivação, desenvolvemos a metodologia da bricolagem científica inventando novos territórios. Os estudos sobre os saberes de professoras afrodescendentes do Curso LIESAFRO/UFMA é um convite à reflexão sobre as contribuições dos seus posicionamentos e engajamento político e social dentro do espaço acadêmico. Portanto, buscamos sistematizar os saberes de professoras AfroUniversitárias da LIESAFRO e promover discussão acerca de projetos de educação afrocentrada desenvolvido por mulheres afrodescendentes, dando visibilidade para a potência de sua agência na universidade!!!

Struggling for Autonomy in Language Education
Pedagogy for autonomy is a continuous struggle for transformative and empowering education. That struggle entails reflecting on what fosters or hinders teacher and learner development, acting towards challenging and reshaping oppressive forces and circumstances, and being willing to deal with complexity, uncertainty and risk-taking, without losing one's hopes and ideals. Our main purpose is to present and discuss ways in which critical reflecting, acting, and being emerge in contexts of teaching and/or teacher education, not as realisations of a grand theory of pedagogy for autonomy, but rather as local, idiosyncratic struggles to grasp and enhance the meanings that autonomy may (not) take in diverse educational settings. Although from different angles, the chapters highlight the central role of teacher and learner development as interrelated aspects of pedagogy for autonomy in language education.
