'TJ Bateson : Iteration Arc' is a catalogue supporting his solo exhibition at Tacit Art in Melbourne, 5 - 16 December, 2018. It features an image of the works presented - 11 in total along with an essay written by Kerrilee Ninnis. This new body of work is heavily driven by process. It is machine-like, but not arbitrary. It is scaffolded by mechanisms but still shows the traditional hand-painted line of the brush. Iteration Arc represents the latest telling of a narrative of paint. The simple replication of a line following a partial arc until it becomes a field of immersive colour and tone.

It features an image of the works presented along with an essay by Keith Lawrence. Editions juxtaposes traditional techniques expertly done (the lithographs of Robert Hague and printed by Peter Lancaster and the absolute control of multiple plate printing by Damon Kowarsky or Hyun Ju Kim for example) alongside more innovative approaches and content (Andrew Weatherill, Gaye Paterson).
