Tradotta per la prima volta in italiano l'opera "The story of the geisha girl" di Fujimoto Taizo, pubblicata nel 1917. Si tratta di un saggio dedicato alla figura della geisha ed alla sua storia, a partire dal Giappone classico fino ad arrivare alla contemporaneità dell'autore. Un interessante resoconto delineato dalla prospettiva di un giapponese di quella che fu la società la quale, nel corso dei secoli, fece da teatro alla nascita, affermazione e sviluppo della geisha. Una preziosa testimonianza che costituisce un unicum, e la quale ci permette di conoscere pagine non note della cultura e tradizione di una figura femminile complessa e senza eguali, incarnante il più grande ideale estetico ed artistico del Paese del Sol Levante.
