55 new poems. TED BERNAL GUEVARA merges the adjective to noun, the noun to verb and the verb to adjective in his most eclectic book of poems to date. Rest assured, he is not demolishing the language, like most social venues these days, but rather upholding it to a higher standard. These fusions are most evident in the poem, "Adjectives Afloat," perhaps a pivot of all that is moveable in today's embattled issues.Five poems have previously appeared in other publications. SNAKE INVITE is a collection of "clingy" poems by Ted Bernal Guevara. He is a Filipino-American writer, poet above novelist, biographer, and literary reviewer, roles he has also delved into with success. The poems adhere to a greater entity which in return has made Guevara's poems at par with the organization and are fundamentally profound. An example of this is the poem "Poet at a Stop." It is a tribute to a member dying young. Ted lives in Aiken, South Carolina where he is a master gardener, a carpenter, and a pond excavator. He has published five poetry collections and seven novels.

In "Birds on Elephant", all of the landscape is an allusion, and “we borrow or skim on [it], and our work becomes more fertile.” Each poem in the collection either perches on a great work or a famed poet, or has first words that make a sentence if read downward—as in: Across and Down Frame your memory so I could see it tomorrow. Your place in mine has gone off with the tide. Memory is not quite the warmth that was once on me. So gather the particles and weigh in; it’s not too dispersed. I will look up and fly the gossamer of you yesterday. Could you withstand the mind without the frame? See it against the sea. It will elevate with the sun. I’ll just diminish tomorrow.
