Proteção Jurídica do Salário do Empregado
O salário é a obrigação principal de uma das partes na relação de emprego. É quase sempre a única fonte de renda do trabalhador, seu meio de sobrevivência. E o salário é direito constitucionalmente garantido. Todavia, há desafios que se impõem na efetivação desse direito. Esse livro aborda os obstáculos que se impõem ao percebimento tempestivo do salário, como a vulnerabilidade do trabalhador, o medo da condição de desempregado, entre outros. Igualmente o livro traz os meios de exigir esse direito fundamental, ao lado das instituições que figuram no ordenamento jurídico, principalmente os Sindicatos e o Ministério Público do Trabalho. New Language Technologies and Linguistic Research
This book is a collection of the papers presented and discussed at the 11th Corpus Linguistics Symposium (ELC 2012), held at the Instituto de Ciências Matemáticas e de Computação (Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science) of the University of São Paulo, at São Carlos, Brazil. The sessions addressed the following six topics: Corpus Linguistics and Language Description; Translation, Terminology and Corpora; Spoken Language and Corpora; Natural Language Processing and Corpora; Corpus Annotation; and Corpora and Multiple Documents. These unique studies will inspire readers with an interest in Linguistics, and will provide motivation for conducting further research in the interdisciplinary area of Language Technologies and Linguistic Research.
II Jornadas de Derecho Laboral 2014
La presente publicación corresponde a las ponencias presentadas en las II Jornadas de Derecho Laboral de la Universidad Externado de Colombia y el II Congreso Latinoamericano de Derecho Material y Procesal del Trabajo que se adelantó en conjunto entre la citada Universidad y la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Minas Gerais de Brasil. La temática de estos eventos académicos trató de "La reacción del derecho laboral a los requerimientos del mundo actual", que fue desarrollada desde las perspectivas colombiana y brasileña, en aspectos sustanciales como procesales del derecho laboral. Esta obra es la respuesta al esfuerzo de integración latinoamericana, y sin duda constituye una oportunidad para conocer y profundizar acerca de las similitudes y diferencias entre nuestros ordenamientos iuslaborales.

Although Portuguese is one of the main world languages and researchers have been working on Portuguese electronic text collections for decades (e.g. Kelly, 1970; Biderman, 1978; Bacelar do Nascimento et al., 1984; see Berber Sardinha, 2005), this is the first volume in English that encapsulates the exciting and cutting-edge corpus linguistic work being done with Portuguese language corpora on different continents.
