Joseph Perrin (ca. 1700-1773)--probably the son of Samuel--moved from Hanover County to Brunswick County, Virginia. A son, William Perrin (1727-1787), moved in 1772 to Abbeville County, South Carolina. Includes a biographical sketch of Thomas Chiles Perrin (1805-1878), a direct descendant of Joseph in the fifth generation. Thomas was a state legislator and president of a railroad in South Carolina before the Civil War. Descendants and relatives lived in South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee and elsewhere.
