Hekate and Diana. Odin and Apollo. Freyja and the Witch-Lord. Eternal Haunted Summer was born in the late summer of 2009. It was created as a place where Pagans and polytheists and witches (and non-Pagans with a love of the old myths) could feature their short stories and poems and essays with those of a like mind and similar beliefs and practices. EHS has grown steadily over the years, due entirely to the wonderful contributors whose works fill its digital pages. Without their creativity and talent, EHS would not exist; it would have disappeared long ago. This thirteenth anniversary edition is a celebration of their work. I love every piece that appears in Eternal Haunted Summer, and I just wish that I could have included them all here. These poems, essays, and short stories range from tragic to triumphant, from exciting to despairing, from comic to horrific, from grotesque to sensual, from erotic to subtle; here you will find odes to terrible Gods, exciting tales of adventure, melancholy meditations on creation, and wonderings at the nature of human and divine hearts. These are the best of Eternal Haunted Summer. I hope that you find them as inspiring as I do.
Researcher, mercenary, thief, killer. He wakes up to find out time has been taken from him. He doesn't know who did it, but he suspects where it began. Now he has his sights set on taking his revenge. Taking on the prison that holds him, the people who set him up, and even the bounty hunter who once caught him doesn't worry him. No, it's the pawn he decides to use that could prove to be his undoing. Will Alex prove stronger than Tristan anticipated? Can Tristan bend him to his will so his plan can be unleashed on those he needs to punish? When it's all said and done, will Tristan be able to let go and move on? Will he remember that only he matters? Or will, for the first time in his life, someone else come first?

I tell her I'm Tristan. I don't want to believe she doesn't recognize me. Bass guitarist for The Nights, come on? After a while, we both play the game. Too soon, our fantasy will crash to reality. Secrets catch up to you. The truth lives to be told. It confirms what I already know: Love is a lie. Until her.

This new collection updates, integrates, and contextualizes Richard Sheppard's essays on the historical avant-garde. Sheppard examines responses of modernist writers, artists, and philosophers to a changed sense of reality and human nature. With its combination of previously published and new essays and its perspective on the theoretical avant-garde-modernism debate in the U.S., the volume provides the specialist and the general reader insight into European scholarly discourse on this hotly debated subject.
