Empren...

Synthetic microbial research-challenges and prospects are more inclined towards interdisciplinary studies. Recent developments in the Microbial technologies have led to a better understanding of living systems and this has removed the demarcations between various disciplines of biological sciences. A new trend in bioscience incorporates Bitechnology and biological research involving Agrobacterium mediated gene transfer in medicinal plants for enhanced production of secondary metabolites, Biohydrogen and bioplastic from photosynthetic bacteria – A State of art review, Microbial Cellulase- An Overview, Microbial Nanotechnology: Challenges and Prospects for Green Biocatalytic Synthesis of Nanoscale Materials for Sensory and Biomedical Applications, Probiotics and Its application, Impact of Copper on water treatment plant, Chitin and Chitinases: An overview of production and applications, Therapeutic approaches for the manageent of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, The 3Rs of managing solid waste: reduce, reuse and recycle, Green Synthesis of Algal Nanoparticles and its Biotechnological Potentials, Biopigments, Microbial profiling of vermicompost.
Critical care nephrology is an emerging multidisciplinary science in which the competences of different specialists are merged to provide a unified diagnostic and therapeutic approach to the critically ill patient. The volume at hand places great emphasis on cardiorenal syndromes and the multidisciplinary collaboration between cardiology and nephrology. Several contributions describe the cardiorenal syndrome in its different varieties and subtypes and report the results from the most recent Acute Dialysis Quality Initiative Consensus Conference, as well as proposing new diagnostic approaches based on early biomarkers of AKI. Other papers discuss advances in technology for renal replacement therapy and multiple organ support therapy. Moreover, special emphasis is placed on the potential role of extracorporeal therapies in patients affected by H1N1 influenza, and a summary of the most recent trials in the field is included. Containing the proceedings of the 2010 International Vicenza Course on Critical Care Nephrology, this publication is a state-of-the-art appraisal of today's technology and current issues related to cardiorenal syndromes.

Investigates how Argentine cinema has represented rural spaces and urban margins from the 1910s to the present. The Projected Nation examines the representation of rural spaces and urban margins in Argentine cinema from the 1910s to the present. The literary and visual culture of the nineteenth and early-twentieth centuries formulated a spatial imaginaryoften articulated as an opposition between civilization and barbarism, or its inversioninto which the cinema intervened. As the twentieth century progressed, the new medium integrated these ideas with its own images in various ways. At times cinema limited itself to reproducing inherited representations that reassure the viewer that all i...
