Die Identifikation von Menschen mit der Region als überschaubarer und beeinflussbarer Rahmen gewinnt in Zeiten von Unsicherheit, zunehmender Entgrenzung und globaler Vernetzung an Bedeutung. Unmittelbar erfahren haben wir dies in den letzten Monaten durch Corona-bedingte Einschränkungen, welche die allgemeine Mobilität zeitweise extrem reduziert und uns gleichzeitig unsere Abhängigkeit von technischen Infrastrukturen vor Augen geführt haben. Dabei wurde für manche die Auseinandersetzung mit dem eigenen Wohnort unweigerlich mehr in den Vordergrund gerückt. The identification of individuals with the region as a manageable and influenceable framework is gaining in importance in times of uncertainty, increasing dissolution of boundaries and global networking. We have experienced this directly in the last few months due to corona-related restrictions, which at times extremely reduced general mobility and at the same time made us aware of our dependence on technical infrastructures. For some people, this has inevitably brought the issue of their own place of residence more to the fore.

La Unidad Nacional para la Gestión del Riesgo de Desastres (UNGRD) a través de la Comisión Nacional Asesora de Investigación en Gestión del Riesgo de Desastres en cumplimiento de su misionalidad, de los planes y la agenda internacional, presentan el Libro de Investigaciones en Gestión del Riesgo de Desastres para Colombia. Contribuciones locales, regionales y nacionales. Esta publicación desarrolla capítulos sobre gestión del riesgo de desastres relacionados con: calidad de agua, amenaza por tsunami, corredores viales, avenidas torrenciales, incendios forestales, percepción del riesgo, campesinos, biodiversidad y servicios ecosistémicos, soluciones basadas en la naturaleza, lecciones aprendidas y respondedores de emergencias. Estos capítulos hacen avanzar el conocimiento nacional con aportes desde la academia, entidades técnico-científicas, profesionales independientes y otros actores del SNGRD.

This volume of the World of Science Education gathers contributions from Latin American science education researchers covering a variety of topics that will be of interest to educators and researchers all around the world. They bring new perspectives, thus, to topics such as science teaching and learning; discourse analysis and argumentation in science education; history, philosophy and sociology of science in science teaching; and science education in non-formal settings.
