En 1965, al finalizar el Concilio Vaticano II, Monseñor Manuel Larraín expresó que aquello que había vivido la asamblea conciliar era impresionante, pero que si en América Latina no estábamos atentos a nuestros propios signos de los tiempos, el Concilio pasaría al lado de nuestra Iglesia. Asumir esta tarea es la misión que se ha dado nuestro Centro Teológico y que acometemos en este libro.
