The 3-volume set CCIS 1422, CCIS 1423 and CCIS 1424 constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 7th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Security, ICAIS 2021, which was held in Dublin, Ireland, in July 2021. The total of 131 full papers and 52 short papers presented in this 3-volume proceedings was carefully reviewed and selected from 1013 submissions. The papers were organized in topical sections as follows: Part I: artificial intelligence; Part II: artificial intelligence; big data; cloud computing and security internet; Part III: cloud computing and security; encryption and cybersecurity; information hiding; IoT security.
This thesis highlights the study into the structures and dynamics of interfacial water, which is a cutting edge issue in condensed matter physics. Using the first principles calculation, classical molecular dynamics simulation and the simulation of atomic force microscopy (AFM), combined with the experimental results of AFM, the book systematically studies interfacial water at the atomic scale, especially the structure and growth mechanism of two-dimensional ice on hydrophobic Au (111) surface, the structure and the interconversion of the Eigen/Zundel hydrated proton on the Au(111) and Pt(111) surfaces, the microstructure and the hydration effect of the diffusion of ion hydrates on NaCl surface. This book displays the atomic scale information about the interaction between water and surface, and achieves many innovative results. Furthermore, the research methods included in this book can be further extended to study the more complex interfacial systems.
The two-volume set LNCS 11961 and 11962 constitutes the thoroughly refereed proceedings of the 25th International Conference on MultiMedia Modeling, MMM 2020, held in Daejeon, South Korea, in January 2020. Of the 171 submitted full research papers, 40 papers were selected for oral presentation and 46 for poster presentation; 28 special session papers were selected for oral presentation and 8 for poster presentation; in addition, 9 demonstration papers and 6 papers for the Video Browser Showdown 2020 were accepted. The papers of LNCS 11961 are organized in the following topical sections: audio and signal processing; coding and HVS; color processing and art; detection and classification; face;...
This three-volume set LNCS 12888, 12898, and 12890 constitutes the refereed conference proceedings of the 11th International Conference on Image and Graphics, ICIG 2021, held in Haikou, China, in August 2021.* The 198 full papers presented were selected from 421 submissions and focus on advances of theory, techniques and algorithms as well as innovative technologies of image, video and graphics processing and fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and networking. *The conference was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The International Symposium on the History of Machines and Mechanisms is the main activity of the Permanent Commission (PC) for the History of Mechanism and Machine Science (HMM) of the International Federation for the Promotion of Mechanism and Machine Science (IFToMM). The first symposium, HMM2000, was initiated by Dr. Marco Ceccarelli and was held at the University of Cassino (Cassino, Italy) on May 11–13, 2000. The second symposium, HMM2004, was chaired by Dr. Marco Ceccarelli and held at the same venue on May 12–15, 2004. The third symposium, HMM2008, was chaired by Dr. Hong-Sen Yan and held at the National Cheng Kung University (Tainan, Taiwan) on November 11–14, 2008. The missio...
This volume comprises the 6th IFIP International Conference on Intelligent Infor- tion Processing. As the world proceeds quickly into the Information Age, it encounters both successes and challenges, and it is well recognized nowadays that intelligent information processing provides the key to the Information Age and to mastering many of these challenges. Intelligent information processing supports the most - vanced productive tools that are said to be able to change human life and the world itself. However, the path is never a straight one and every new technology brings with it a spate of new research problems to be tackled by researchers; as a result we are not running out of topics; rath...
This book describes experimental animal models that mimic common human ocular diseases: herpetic keratitis, cataract, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, uveitis, retinitis pigmentosa, Graves’ disease, and intraocular tumors. In conjunction, these models reflect the diversity and utility of tools used to study human disease. World expert clinicians discuss each model based on their clinical experience and the text is supported by numerous photos and diagrams. In describing the most pertinent animal models of ophthalmic diseases, this book will be of interest to ophthalmologists, vision researchers, fellows, residents and medical students.
This book gathers the proceedings of the 14th International Conference on Management Science and Engineering Management (ICMSEM 2020). Held at the Academy of Studies of Moldova from July 30 to August 2, 2020, the conference provided a platform for researchers and practitioners in the field to share their ideas and experiences. Covering a wide range of topics, including hot management issues in engineering science, the book presents novel ideas and the latest research advances in the area of management science and engineering management. It includes both theoretical and practical studies of management science applied in computing methodology, highlighting advanced management concepts, and com...
