Literasi Pancasila secara sederhana diartikan sebagai “melek” Pancasila. Pada konteks pembelajaran merupakan kemampuan mengolah informasi secara kritis untuk mengembangkan kemampuan kognitif dan mengaitkan dengan pengalaman belajar melalui serangkaian aktivitas pembelajaran bermuatan nilai-nilai Pancasila, sehingga di setiap pembelajaran konten Pancasila selalu hadir dalam sistem kognisi peserta didik. Orientasi literasi Pancasila dalam pembelajaran berusaha mengintegrasikan muatan Pancasila melalui insert and plug-in aktivitas atau konten tertentu bermuatan Pancasila. Literasi Pancasila tidak merubah sintaks model pembelajaran yang digunakan guru ketika pembelajaran berlangsung. Guru hanya menyisipkan literasi Pancasila ke dalam kegiatan pembelajaran dan dikaitkan dengan sintaks pembelajaran yang sedang digunakan sebagai bentuk kegiatan literasi.
