Buku ini disusun sebagai panduan bagi peserta diklat GMDSS Radio Operator yang kompetensinya disyaratkan dalam STCW 1978 amandemen 2010 STCW Code Section A-IV/2, dengan menggunakan referensi IMO Model Course 1.25. Buku ini digunakan untuk mengetahui lebih jauh tentang pengoperasian alat-alat GMDSS, Disamping diperlukan peralatan yang memadai, tentunya masih perlu didukung buku petunjuk pengoperasian alat (Instruction manual), juga buku terbitan-terbitan lain dari International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Materi yang dijelaskan secara praktis dan lebih sederhana kepada peserta diklat operator radio GMDSS sebagai penunjang buku-buku dan literatur asing yang sudah ada. Istilah-istilah GMDSS dalam bahasa asing masih dipertahankan untuk membiasakan para operator radio dengan istilah-istilah tersebut baik yang terdapat pada alat 'real” ataupun 'simulator'. Dengan hadirnya buku ini dapat mempermudah para peserta diklat radio GMDSS memahami segala aspek tentang GMDSS mencangkup aturan hukum yang berlaku, fungsi, prosedur dan pengoperasian GMDSS, sehingga dapat terciptanya peserta diklat yang berkompeten sebagai operator radio GMDSS.

Islamic States in Java 1500–1700
The growing interest in the history of Indonesia has made it desirable to have an English summary of the principal works of the Dutch historian Dr H. J. de Graaf, who in several books and articles published between 1935 and 1973 has given a description of the development of the Javanese kingdom of Mataram, based both on European and in digenous material. His works form a substantial contribution to the study of the national history of Indonesia. The Summary contains references to the paragraphs of the Dutch books and articles. This makes it easy for those readers who have a know ledge of Dutch to consult the original texts. The List of Sources for the study of Javanese history from 1500 to 1700 is composed of the lists in the summarized books and articles, and the Index of Names refers not only to the present Summary but also to the eight original texts. Many names of persons and localities in the Index have been provided with short explanatory notes and references to other lemmata as a quick way to give some provisional information on Javanese history.
Regime Change and Ethnic Politics in Indonesia
When the Indonesian New Order regime fell in 1998, regional politics with strong ethnic content emerged across the country. In West Kalimantan the predominant feature was particularly that of the Dayaks. This surge, however, was not unprecedented. After centuries of occupying a subordinate place in the political and social hierarchy under the nominal rule of the Malay sultanates, Dayaks became involved in an enthusiastic political emancipation movement from 1945. The Dayaks secured the governorship as well as the majority of the regional executive head positions before they were shunned by the New Order regime. This book examines the development of Dayak politics in West Kalimantan from the colonial times until the first decade of the 21th century. It asks how and why Dayak politics has experienced drastic changes since 1945. It will look at the effect of regime change, the role of the individual leaders and organizations, the experience of marginalization, and conflicts on the course of Dayaks politics. It will also examine ethnic relations and recent political development up to 2010 in the province.
