A obra Estudo e prática da arbitragem reúne um grupo diverso, composto por juristas, profissionais e acadêmicos da área da arbitragem que muito contribuem para a propagação e o ensino de excelência desse método de resolução de disputas na Escola de Direito de São Paulo da Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV DIREITO SP). O alto nível técnico da FGV DIREITO SP sempre foi destaque: seus alunos, professores e pesquisadores são constantemente enaltecidos pela produção acadêmica de excelência e pela formação técnica completa, o que não poderia excluir a arbitragem. Este livro, em comemoração aos dez anos da criação do Grupo de Estudos de Arbitragem da FGV DIREITO SP (GVEArb), traz um pouco da vivência daqueles que auxiliaram a consolidação da FGV DIREITO SP também nessa área do Direito. Seus capítulos expõem a experiência educacional da instituição, assim como abordam temas atuais da prática arbitral.
A Igualdade na Arbitragem
Passadas mais de duas décadas desde que promulgada a Lei de Arbitragem, não há dúvidas que a arbitragem se consagrou como um dos métodos preferidos de resolução de disputas. Superados os entraves iniciais, em razão dos esforços da comunidade acadêmica e do reconhecimento da legitimidade da arbitragem pelo judiciário, entramos em uma nova fase na qual o incentivo à utilização do instituto depende de sua capacidade de trazer soluções às dificuldades identificadas pelos agentes deste mercado. Estreou em 1917 com ""A cinza das horas"", seguido de dezenas de outros livros essenciais da poesia brasileira, como "Libertinagem", "Estrela da manhã", "Estrela da tarde" e outros. Bandeira residiu a maior parte de sua vida no Rio de Janeiro. Amigo de vários participantes da Semana de Arte Moderna de 1922, principalmente de Mário de Andrade e Ribeiro Couto, manteve com alguns deles uma vasta correspondência, como se vê em seu livro Itinerário de Pasárgada. Em 1940, foi eleito membro da Academia Brasileira de Letras, instituição que atualmente preserva sua biblioteca pessoal.
