Die Siegelung ist eine prozessuale Sofortmassnahme, mit der die Kenntnisnahme und Verwendung von Aufzeichnungen durch die Strafverfolgungsbehörden einstweilen verhindert werden sollen. Wegen seiner verfahrensverzögernden Wirkung steht der Rechtsbehelf seit geraumer Zeit in der Kritik. Das Parlament sah sich daher veranlasst, im Rahmen der aktuellsten StPO-Revision die Bestimmungen zur Siegelung zu modifizieren. Das vorliegende Werk stellt die aktuelle Rechtslage (StPO, IRSG, VStrR und MStP) umfassend dar. Ebenfalls werden die neuen Art. 248–248a revStPO analysiert wie auch deren Auswirkungen auf die übrigen strafprozessualen Ordnungen besprochen. Das Praxishandbuch soll Mitgliedern von Strafverfolgungsbehörden, Anwältinnen und Richtern einen einfachen und übersichtlichen Zugang zur Materie und den sich ihnen stellenden Fragen ermöglichen. Der Autor würdigt die dargestellte Gerichtspraxis in grafisch abgegrenzten Annotationen kritisch und nimmt darin Stellung zu strittigen sowie noch ungeklärten Aspekten. Zudem enthält das Handbuch weiterführende praktische Hinweise, Muster sowie Kasuistiken.
