Aspergillus niger: Pathogenicity, Cultivation and Uses summarizes the results of numerous research experiments on the biomineralization of rocks and minerals carried out with the participation of the fungus Aspergillus niger. This compilation reviews recent advances in biocompounds and products with the most relevant biological and biocatalytic activities produced by Aspergillus niger. The challenges and future perspectives of biotechnological process extensions using Aspergillus niger will also be discussed. The closing study focuses on how Aspergillus niger may be utilized as a bioadsorbent for the detoxification and decolorizing of wastewater. In industrial and pharmaceutical applications, it can similarly be utilized in the creation of some costly and helpful biopolymers, such as chitin, chitosan, and nourishment enhancements like chitin-glucan and glucosamine.

Effect of fluid dynamics on pellet morphology and product formation of "Aspergillus niger"

The product formation of the biopellets of filamentous fungi, such as Aspergillus niger, is closely linked with the pellet morphology. Therefore, investigations were carried out to determine the influence of fluid dynamic conditions on the growth of fungal pellets. During the present study, important information about the evolution of morphological changes during the cultivation process in stirred tank reactors was gathered from cultivations at different volumetric power inputs by agitation and aeration. The quantification of the pellet morphology was accomplished by the digital image analysis and the laser diffraction technique tracing parameters like the pellet diameter and the pellet conc...

The present study deal with the isolation, screening and selection of Aspergillus niger cultures for citric acid fermentation. The organism was isolated from onion and garlic peels which were collected from local market. Pour plate method using Czapak Dos Agar medium was used for isolation. The agar plates were incubated at room temperature for 7 days. Maximum sporulation were obtained and then stored in a refrigerator at 4°C for maintenance and further screening for citric acid fermentation. The cultural conditions and nutritional requirements for citric acid production by the selected culture were optimized in 250 ml Erlenmeyer flasks by submerged mould culture technique prior to scale up...
