Acute Megakaryoblastic Leukaemia Shows High Frequency of Chromosome 1q Aberrations and Dismal Outcome
Abstract: Acute megakaryoblastic leukaemia (AMKL) is associated with poor prognosis. Limited information is available on its cytogenetics, molecular genetics and clinical outcome. We performed genetic analyses, evaluated prognostic factors and the value of allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) in a homogenous adult AMKL patient cohort. We retrospectively analysed 38 adult patients with AMKL (median age: 58 years, range: 21-80). Most received intensive treatment in AML Cooperative Group (AMLCG) trials between 2001 and 2016. A Leadership Paradigm Shift to ‘Eclectic Leadership’
The objective of this book is to develop leadership principles from two directions - the scientific and the practical perspective - that are both application-oriented and universally applicable as well as effective and flow into a holistic leadership framework. Both the hermeneutic and the empirical analysis show that the basic principles of holistic, application-oriented, universally applicable and effective leadership can be described with the duality of transactional management and transformational leadership principles, taking into account core traits and alignment with follower needs. These in turn lead to a collection of essential principles of effective leadership known as the "eclectic leadership framework". The essential finding is that the basic principles are complementary and that a clear focus on people and their needs is the most effective way to lead.

Auf Basis einer empirischen Studie untersucht Iris Hohberg die Arbeitssituation von Grundschulleiterinnen und Grundschulleitern in Nordrhein-Westfalen. Sie stellt die Ergebnisse in kategorialer Form wie auch in Form ausgewählter Fallportraits vor. Im Zentrum stehen Arbeitszufriedenheit und Beanspruchung sowie Beanspruchungsfolgen und Bewältigungsstrategien. Ausgehend von thematisch relevanten Theorien verschiedener Disziplinen werden die subjektiven Wahrnehmungen der Interviewpartnerinnen und Interviewpartner strukturiert und rekonstruiert. Deutlich wird, dass Faktoren wie unterschiedliche Ressourcen oder das eigene Rollenverständnis und das Bewältigungsverhalten maßgeblichen Einfluss auf das Beanspruchungsempfinden haben. Aus ihren Ergebnissen leitet die Autorin Handlungsempfehlungen an verschiedene Akteure ab.
