Detección de caídas durante la marcha en adultos mayores
Este libro tiene dos enfoques: el primero es la evaluación de parámetros para el análisis de marcha y el segundo, el análisis de detección de posibles caídas. En el análisis de la marcha se obtuvieron variables espaciotemporales de la marcha como la velocidad, cadencia, el tiempo de zancada y la longitud del paso; en el análisis de detección de caída se consideró la densidad espectral de potencia y la frecuencia fundamental e integral de la aceleración.
Alineación de prótesis y parámetros biomecánicos en pacientes amputados trastibiliales
En este libro se presentan los resultados de un estudio descriptivo transversal con componente observacional para la medición de variables anatómicas en sujetos amputados transtibiales a causa de trauma por minas antipersona y usuarios de prótesis. Mediante esta investigación se identificaron parámetros cinéticos y cinemáticos, tanto en posición estática como en posición dinámica, y se evidenció el efecto en la bipedestación y la marcha producido por variaciones en la alineación estática, reflejando aspectos que no son considerados en la adaptación de la prótesis dado las pocas tecnologías para este tipo de procedimientos y que parecen despreciables en la técnica de alineación, pero que resultan relevantes a mediano y largo plazo.
