Betapa kagetnya Aras, cahaya merah tiba-tiba menyorot membelah langit saat ia menyentuh batu merah di pegangan sebuah pedang yang ditemukannya di rumah pamannya. Seluruh kerajaan Tolan menghentikan aktivitasnya, mereka ternganga menyaksikan cahaya merah yang jelas memberi pertanda. Saat itu semua tahu bahwa Aras adalah seorang cardan. Tapi bagaimana mungkin, selama ini ia hanya berlatih menggunakan pedang kayu, dan ibunya sudah mendaftar ke universitas untuk mencari ilmu, untuk menjadi ilmuwan, bukan ksatria perang. Menjadi cardan seperti nasib yang tidak dapat ditolak. Selama ini, tanpa Aras sadari, darah ksatria mengalir di tubuhnya. Ia seorang cardan, yang harus selalu siap bertempur. Melawan makhluk-makhluk yang selama ini tidak pernah ia jumpai. Pada saatnya nanti, ia harus melawan Siafrik, musuh besar kerajaan Tolan, yang dulu sudah pernah dikalahkan dan dipastikan mati. This book provides an introductory understanding of fluvial geomorphic principles and how these principles can be integrated with geochemical data to cost-effectively characterize, assess and remediate contaminated rivers. The book stresses the importance of needing to understand both geomorphic and geochemical processes. Thus, the overall presentation is first an analysis of physical and chemical processes and, second, a discussion of how an understanding of these processes can be applied to specific aspects of site assessment and remediation. Such analyses provide the basis for a realistic prediction of the kinds of environmental responses that might be expected, for example, during future changes in climate or land-use.

Geriatric dentistry, or gerodontics, is the branch of dental care dealing with older adults involving the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of problems associated with normal aging and age-related diseases as part of an interdisciplinary team with other healthcare professionals. Prosthodontics is the dental specialty pertaining to the diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation, and maintenance of the oral function, comfort, appearance, and health of patients with clinical conditions associated with missing or deficient teeth and/or oral and maxillofacial tissues using biocompatible materials. Periodontology, or Periodontics, is the specialty of oral healthcare that concerns supporting structures of teeth, diseases, and conditions that affect them. The supporting tissues are known as the periodontium, which includes the gingiva (gums), alveolar bone, cementum, and the periodontal ligament. Oral biology deals with the microbiota and their interaction within the oral region. Research in oral health and systemic conditions concerns the effect of various systemic conditions on the oral cavity and conversely helps to diagnose various systemic conditions.
