Imagens do Novo Mundo
Este trabalho lança luz sobre a utilização de imagens como fonte histórica e sua utilização como expressão da diversidade social e da pluralidade humana. Após um estudo detalhado sobre a análise de imagens, nos detemos aos usos das imagens de Theodor de Bry no ensino de História da América. Demonstrando como a popularização das imagens sobre o Novo Mundo é relevante, tanto no século XVI, período de sua produção, como nos dias atuais, nos materiais didáticos. Atentando para essas abordagens, em diferentes períodos, apresentamos como essas imagens estão sendo empregadas no estudo da História da América, levando em conta as pesquisas atuais sobre o tema, a busca por uma educação desvinculada do eixo europeu – através dos documentos oficiais da educação que regem a elaboração do material didático – e a utilização de imagens como ferramenta de ensino.
Imagens e Narrativas no Ensino de História: Uma Representação dos Povos Nativos do Brasil no Livro Didático
Este estudo visa analisar como se insere a representação dos povos indígenas no livro didático do 7° ano do ensino fundamental. Explorando a discussão racial do século XIX até o século XX no Brasil e suas influências no discurso de construção da identidade do povo brasileiro formado por indígenas, negros e brancos por meio da valorização das três raças, detectando permanências no século XXI na elaboração de documentos oficiais sobre a educação brasileira como o Parâmetro Curricular Nacional, tema transversal Pluralidade Cultural e das Leis n° 10.639/03 alterada pela Lei n° 11.645/08 que propõe a valorização da diversidade étnico-racial e o estudo das contribuições dos negros e indígenas na história do Brasil e na formação da nação verificando, se as mesmas propostas estão sendo aplicadas no que tange à temática indígena no livro didático projeto Araribá do 7° ano do Ensino Fundamental.

Unlike most orators he is more successful as a writer than as a speaker.
