La formación del lector escolar. Oportunidades desde el entorno familiar, educacional, cultural y social
Para la formación de lectores en la familia, escuela y espacios culturales, es necesario considerar que un lector escolar autónomo surge de la implementación de la lectura por placer, la organización pedagógica y creativa de la biblioteca y el conocimiento de los gustos e intereses del lector. Esta investigación cualitativa con enfoque etnográfico, diagnostica carencias y dificultades del mundo actual en que lectura y placer son antagónicos, y donde la educación familiar y escolar se ven distantes y no habitan juntas. Distintos actores en escuelas de diferentes niveles socioeconómicos de Santiago de Chile, permiten dar una mirada integral al desafío de la lectura, la formación del lector autónomo y los retos para alcanzar profundas transformaciones. Garantizar que la lectura sea una actividad orgánica desde la más temprana edad; que el goce de la lectura se viva transversalmente en los días de hoy y de mañana, y construir lazos con el lenguaje, que naturalmente impulsen nuestra intuición creativa y pedagógica hacia al desarrollo de las habilidades de lectura y que así se abra un abanico de mil y una maneras de leer.

Bibliotecas escolares para el siglo XXI
En este libro evaluamos el escenario de formación de futuros lectores. ¿Cuáles son los caminos para desarrollar comunidades de lectura desde la biblioteca escolar? Las respuestas a esta pregunta pasan por proyectar una visión coherente a nivel de la escuela en torno a la lectura, que apunten primero a articularse con prácticas y realidades actuales, sobre todo integrando el ámbito digital. Pero también es necesario enfrentar con creatividad la mirada existente sobre las actividades de aula ligadas a la lectura, favoreciendo el desarrollo de lectores que elijan lo que necesitan y quieren leer. Mediante la formación de una colección diversa y una gestión centrada en la formación de lectores, en este libro insistimos en la articulación entre la biblioteca escolar y la comunidad educativa, convencidos de que con creación e innovación es posible formar lectores y ciudadanos para el siglo XXI, que buscan interpretar y entender el mundo, comprometidos con la diversidad de experiencias y de miradas.
