Este libro surge de la investigación que permitió evaluar la problemática de una de las Zonas de Integración Fronteriza del Acuerdo de Cartagena: la ZIF Ecuador-Colombia, y en las dimensiones que se circunscriben explícitamente entre la Decisión 457 y Decisión 501, de ámbito social, económico, salud, institucional y de integración para el desarrollo tanto de la provincia del Carchi como del departamento de Nariño entre el 2017 y el 2019. El libro consta de cuatro capítulos en los que se realiza un análisis documental con fuentes secundarias desde los enfoques de las dimensiones del desarrollo social, institucional, desarrollo económico y la dinámica de frontera.
