A diferencia de la evaluación "tradicional", la evaluación "basada en competencias" debe ser continua y formativa, además de auténtica, es decir, que presente al alumno tareas o desafíos de la vida real para cuya resolución debe desplegar un conjunto integrado de conocimientos, destrezas y actitudes. En el Proyecto se realizaron una serie de preguntas previas tales como: ¿por qué vamos a evaluar? (generar un feedback, calificar, etc.) ¿qué queremos evaluar? (qué competencias específicas, qué competencias genéricas, etc.) ¿cuándo debemos evaluar? (al inicio, de forma continua, al final del proceso, etc.) ¿cómo vamos a evaluar?(mediante técnicas de observación, entrevistas, autoevaluación, evaluación por compañeros, etc.)... La respuesta a todas estas cuestiones permitió el diseño de una guía con el sistema de evaluación más adecuado para los alumnos, de manera que la evaluación realizada resultó motivadora y productiva para los mismos.

Our research for this book took over three years, beginning in 2018.
