Innovation in Urban and Regional Planning
This book gathers the latest advances, innovations, and applications in urban and regional planning processes and science, as presented by international researchers at the 11th International Conference on Innovation in Urban and Regional Planning (INPUT), held in Catania, Italy, on September 8-10, 2021. The overarching theme of the conference INPUT 2021 was “Integrating Nature-Based Solutions in Planning Science and Practice”, with contributes focusing on functionality of urban ecosystems toward more healthier and resilient cities, planning solutions for socio-ecological systems, technologies and hybrid models for spatial planning, geodesign, urban metabolism, computational planning, ecosystems services, green infrastructure, climate change adaptation and mitigation, rural landscapes, cultural heritage, and accessibility for urban planning. The conference brought together international scholars in the field of planning, civil engineering and architecture, ecology and social science, to build and consolidate the knowledge and evidence on NBS in urban and regional planning.
Computational Science and Its Applications – ICCSA 2020
The seven volumes LNCS 12249-12255 constitute the refereed proceedings of the 20th International Conference on Computational Science and Its Applications, ICCSA 2020, held in Cagliari, Italy, in July 2020. Due to COVID-19 pandemic the conference was organized in an online event. Computational Science is the main pillar of most of the present research, industrial and commercial applications, and plays a unique role in exploiting ICT innovative technologies. The 466 full papers and 32 short papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 1450 submissions. Apart from the general track, ICCSA 2020 also include 52 workshops, in various areas of computational sciences, ranging from computational science technologies, to specific areas of computational sciences, such as software engineering, security, machine learning and artificial intelligence, blockchain technologies, and of applications in many fields.

A abertura recebe o nome do sacerdote espanhol Ruy López de Segura, que fez o primeiro estudo exaustivo sobre esta abertura, um livro de 150 páginas chamado Libro del Ajedrez, em 1561. Apesar de receber seu nome, não é de sua autoria, sendo referida, por exemplo, no Manuscrito de Göttingen, que foi escrito em torno de 1490. Entretanto, a abertura não se tornou popular antes da metade do século XIX, quando o teórico russo Carl Jaenisch redescobriu seu potencial. Desde então a popularidade da abertura só cresceu, sendo adotada até mesmo por Grandes Mestres em seus jogos.

Alexander Alekhine
Alexander Alexandrovich Alekhine (em russo: Александр Александрович Але́хин) (Moscovo, 19 jul./ 31 de outubro de 1892greg. — Estoril, 24 de março de 1946) foi um jogador de xadrez franco-russo de grande nível, conhecido pelo seu estilo marcadamente atacante e campeão mundial de xadrez durante 17 anos. Alekhine nasceu no seio de uma família abastada, o pai era proprietário de terras e membro da Duma, enquanto que a mãe era filha de um rico industrial. Foi a mãe que ensinou a Alexander e ao seu irmão a jogar xadrez, em 1903.

Sistema Colle
O Sistema Colle é uma abertura de xadrez introduzida pelo belga Edgard Colle no início dos anos 20. É uma variante da Abertura do Peão da Dama, caracterizada pelo sistemático desenvolvimento das peças menores brancas, visando o avanço do peão do rei à e4. Apesar de ser considerada uma abertura sólida, é também muito inflexível, o que a torna pouco popular nos jogos dos Grandes Mestres. O Sistema Colle é mais um esquema de jogo do que uma abertura. As brancas jogam d4, Cf3, e3, Bd3, 0-0, Cbd2 e possivelmente c3, quase sem importar com o que respondam as negras. A teoria de aberturas tem uma importância secundária. Como o Sistema Colle praticamente ignora as respostas das pretas, é considerado uma boa ferramenta para jogos Blitz, para evitar variações de jogadas pelas pretas ou para forçar o oponente a pensar no início do jogo.
